Here is a semi-local GIS volunteer opportunity if you want to head over to Central Washington for a day. Contact Shoreh for more information if interested:

You have been short listed for a K-12 GISCorps project!

The office of WSU Extension 4H Youth Development in Grant County, WA, has requested the assistance of three GISCorps volunteers for a June 6th event.

Volunteers will be assisting the youth in colleting various information by using GPS equipment (provided by the extension) and then helping the students in downloading and mapping the collected information. The extension office has received a software grant from ESRI and therefore, expertise in ArcView is desirable.

This is an urgent request and we need your response as soon as possible. Please feel free to share this request with other colleagues if you are not available for the project.
