Paper, Panel Discussion, or Lightning Talk Submission Form

2017 Conference Logo

This form is for submitting Papers, Panel Discussions, or Lightning Talks

This is an opportunity to share your experience, expertise, and knowledge with colleagues and offer solutions for success. Individuals chosen to present will gain recognition by their peers, raise awareness of critical issues and identify current trends in the industry.

The Presentations Committee will select presentations, panel discussions, and lightning talks to represent a wide range of interests and levels of expertise. Selection will be based on the value of the proposed topic to the audience and the clarity of the abstract.

Abstracts must be limited to no more than 300 words, and must include: a title, type of presentation requested, and author(s) information including complete contact information. A clear concise abstract is your best ticket to a logical track placement and a well-attended session.

Paper presentations may be 30 to 90 minutes in length. Lightning Talks should be no more than 15 minutes. If you have a topic for a panel, please seek out participants and form the panel before submitting an abstract. The presentations committee does not form these panels.

Presenters will earn 1 GISCI Contribution Point for a Conference Presentation in addition to points earned for attending the conference and being a member of one of the sponsoring organizations. Verify with GISCI as rules may change. Presentations may also qualify for PDH's needed for ASPRS certification or professional licenses, depending on the specific PDH requirements. Please retain conference proceedings, badges, registration email, and other documentation as proof. The sponsoring organizations can not guarantee this information will be available in the future.

If your paper, panel discussion, or lightning talk is chosen, the lead presenter/organizer wil get 50% off registration fees.
